We understand that no one technology fits every application. Geoforce combines GPS, RFID, sensors, and other wireless technologies, all into a single asset management platform. Some companies prefer to track higher value assets using GPS technology and utilize RFID for managing large volumes of inventory assets at their fixed facilities. Other companies have a need for GPS tracking today, but may consider RFID technology in the future. In either case, it makes good sense to use the one software platform that lets you do both.

GPS

GPS tracking tags give you the ability to remotely monitor your inventory assets practically anywhere in the world. We offer two basic types of GPS tags: cellular and satellite. Satellite GPS tags operate worldwide, and can operate entirely on batteries for several years providing location or other information two times per day. Cellular GPS tags operate within cellular coverage areas and can provide a detail history or "breadcrumb trail" showing exactly where your assets have been and other valuable information like speed, engine run-time, or sensor status.

RFID

Geoforce offers plug-and-play RFID systems that are excellent for yard management or automatic inventory applications. RFID is a facility based technology that requires "readers" to be installed with approximately 300ft. (100m) of the assets being inventoried. This technology offers the ability to know exactly which mobile assets are IN or OUT of a particular location at a lower cost per asset than a typical GPS system.
